Psychological Study of Bellringing - Dr Alyson Blanchard
For those of you who don't know, I am a psychology lecturer at the University of Salford. Some of you are aware that I have been talking about a psychological study of bellringing for a while. Currently, there isn't psychological research on bellringing which is notable considering how much mental processing is involved and the various personality types that are attracted to the past time, which I think we would agree is quite unusual and unlike anything else.
I've finally launched the study and it would be great if you could consider taking part - it's online and anonymous and involves some personality measures and thinking tasks. It is only accessible through a tablet or computer because it won't work on a phone due to types of tasks involved in the study.
The research has been accepted to be presented at a conference - so please be assured it will go somewhere and not be for nothing. There is the potential for insights that could help in attracting more people to bellringing, as well as approaches to teaching it.
Please follow the link below for more information and to take part.
If you could pass this on to anyone else you know who would be interested and members of your tower - that would be really appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time in reading this.
Best wishes,
Alyson
