Report for young practice on 13/April

Eleven of Lincolnshire’s young ringers journeyed to the 3 hundredweight eight in the Osberton estate in Nottinghamshire last week for their April Practice. The group sought out a light ring of bells in preparation for entering the Ringing World National Youth Contest which will be held at towers in York in July. These were the lightest bells that most of us have ever rung, however after approaching them with some trepidation even the least confident among us managed to ring well. At one point one of the adults commented that we rung changes better than the adults who had a go!

Thanks again in particular to Sue Faull for organising this and also to the helpers, drivers and to the guild for ongoing support of our efforts.

It’s a very busy time for many of us with GCSE’s, A-levels and mocks looming so well done all for making time in your busy study schedules, I know for me it came as a welcome break!
