R.I.P. - Bill Brotherton

Funeral Arrangements

Bill Brothertons funeral will be held on Monday 4th May at Alford Crematorium at 1.00pm. Sadly only 6 family members can attend.

Mourning parties have recently been able to send their love by standing along the route and clapping.

Helen is more than happy with us for do this; supporting their family, and showing our love and affection for Bill.

It has been checked with Alford Crematorium, and we can stand along the road going in, as long as we don't go near the chapel. They have no objection.

It is with great sadness that I have to report that Bill Brotherton passed away on the 16th April 2020. Bill was an active member of the Eastern Branch and was the husband of Helen Brotherton who is our Guild Secretary.

Bill was admitted to hospital early on the morning of Thursday 16th with breathing difficulties, but unfortunately passed away shortly afterwards. Our thoughts and prayers are with his widow Helen and the rest of his family.

Given the current situation with the Coronavirus lockdown I cannot say what the details might be for the funeral service, but if I receive any information I will post it here.
