R.I.P. - Margaret Sutherland
Many of you will remember Margaret Sutherland, wife of the late great Jim Sutherland of Wragby.
I am sorry to have to report that Margaret has also now passed away to join her beloved Jim.
Jim and Margaret's Granddaughter (Bryony) has posted this message on the local Central Branch Facebook group and I am repeating it here.
Hello, just a quick update for any who want to know.
There will be a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate the life of Margaret Sutherland, at All Saints Wragby on Thursday 4th April at noon.
All welcome, family flowers only but any donations in Gran's memory will go to L.I.V.E.S.
Gran loved her flowers and a Scots man, so anybody who wants to wear something with flowers or any tartan as a final salute is welcome to.
Barry Jones is organising the ringing after the service, most people I have spoken to have been very kind, as although Gran wasn't a bell-ringer she did a lot behind the scenes, I think they meant all the food...but I'm hoping to hear a few stories on the day.
Someone also mentioned a story about a bus tour and the tour's next restaurant being cancelled so Grandad brought them back to the Gate House where Gran somehow fed everyone with no notice - an actual bus haha, sounds like Grandad, and Gran always kept a stocked pantry so I imagine she managed it!
I also want to say a big thank you to everyone that has supported our family over the years and please feel more than welcome to come to the Thanksgiving Service.
Bryony Sutherland
