R.I.P. - Ros Knight
It is with regret and great sadness that we inform the members that Ros Knight passed away early on the morning of Saturday, 26th October. Her Myeloma relapsed 6 weeks ago and did not respond to treatment. As a result of her immune system being so low, Ros succumbed to pneumonia on the Wednesday. This proved to be fatal.
The Thanksgiving Service will be at Crowland Abbey at 2pm on Thursday, 14th November. This will be followed by family only gathering at Peterborough crematorium.
Refreshments after the service will be available to all. The venue for this has yet to be confirmed, but will be within walking distance of the Abbey.
It is requested that flowers are from the family only. Donations are however welcome and should be made to "Myeloma Research UK". If anyone wishes to make a donation privately there is an area on the Myeloma website where donations can be made to someone's memory.
There will of course be open ringing at the Abbey. (UPDATE - Roy Snow has managed to get a Crowland band to ring before the serivice, so open ringing will take place after the service.)
