University Ringers ring for Royal Visit
On Thursday 19th January 2012 the University Ringers, members of the Lincoln University and Colleges Society of Bell Ringers (LUCSBR) rang the bells at their home tower of St. Mary-le-Wigford in Lincoln to welcome H.R.H. Princess Anne, the Princess Royal to the City of Lincoln.
Princess Anne was in Lincoln to officially open the new Engineering Hub at the University of Lincoln and the ringing took place by a student band whilst the Princess arrived at the University and during her visit. They rang Call changes for 30 minutes and the ringers of 1, 2 & 4 are all currently studying at the University.
