First peal - Rae Todd
Broughton, North Lincs - 01 Jan 2008
Was Rae Todd (14) the first person to ring a first peal in 2008? A quick browse of campanophile suggests this to be the case. Rae learnt to ring at Messingham and had previously rung a number of quarter peals, including a quarter of Plain Bob Minor which he called. Rae was joined in the quarter by his uncle and cousin, Ian and Richard Till. The peal had been organised by Jo Hoare of Broughton, with Jo's son Chris ringing the treble to his first peal of minor after having previously rung peals of doubles.
