Central Branch - Cathedral, 9th June 2012

It was about 6:45pm when I arrived in the Ringers Chapel at Lincoln Cathedral and found Les Townsend and a few other ringers waiting to go up. Eventually we made our way up the tower where at 7:00pm promptly the Branch Ringing Master, Richard Spencer, got things under way with some rounds and call changes.

The meet progressed smoothly with a range of ringing, largely on the back 10, consisting of everything from rounds to Surprise Royal, with a bit of method ringing on 12.

All in all an enjoyable 2 hours. Afterwards some ot the ringers escaped to the pub to continue the evening's entertainment.

Many thanks to Les Townsend and the Dean and Chapter for allowing us to come and ring the bells.
