New Year Honour for Hackthorn Ringer

The London Gazette in a supplement announcing the New Year Honours included the appointment of Mrs Bridget Cracroft-Eley, Lord-Lieutenant for Lincolnshire, as a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO).

Mrs Cracroft-Eley learned to ring prior to the installation of the ring of six bells at Hackthorn, and has enthusiastically supported bell ringing in the Central Branch of the Lincoln Diocesan Guild.
