Rung to celebrate the Diamond wedding anniversary of Janet and Tom Freeston, the latter the ringer of the fourth.
Tom and Janet were married at the Stump on January 23rd, 1960. Tom has been a regular practice night and Sunday morning ringer in the Boston area, without lapse, since the late 1940s - when he learned to ring at the Stump.
The band wish to associate with this quarter peal all of those so fortunate to have received the friendship of Tom and Janet during the three-score years of their marriage elapsed so far.
The ancient and historic method of Grandsire Doubles was chosen by Tom as his favourite!
